Re: Punjabi words and their meanings

Its masaan as per sufi poetry of Punjab.

Thae place where Hindu people burn dead bodies is called Massann in Sindhi, which is very close to this Punjabi word for graveyard. In Sindhi, qabristan is referred to as 'Muqaam' by old generation, but that is probably an Arabic word.

Re: Punjabi words and their meanings

Pereshaan.

Punjabi vocabulary is quite flexible and profoundly diverse. I am sure there are plenty of phrases *to describe that you are pereshaan. However, the most commonly used *word to simply describe the condition would pretty much be pereshaan.

Having said that, my Punjabi sucks (big time) and I shouldn't really be advising anyone on this forum about this great lanuage.
