suna hai wahan khanay ki cheezain bilkul khalis hoti hain (like desi ghee, makhan, sarsoon ka saag, maki ki roti wagaira wagira).

**look with care…a farmer is thrashing the wheat to seprate the seed from the hay(hay is called Toorhi). Seed(wheat) is then crushed using Chakki being used by Bebey in one of the pictures above to make aata(flour)

which is then used to make RoTiyaN(I hope you know what is roTi. ke Burger hunday O?)
The TooRhi(hay) is then stored in the open into a big heap like the following one and used to feed the majhaN and gaavaN all year long.

These majhaN te gaavaN are being fed on a khurli(I hope I can find angraizi for it). Following is the scene animals eating their food from the khurli.

Then these animals give milk to the farmer and his wife Nimmo riRhak this milk(dahiN, yogurt) to make Makhan(butter) for him.

Now you know why they sing that Oye Chann mere makhna so loudly.
But…
Some nalaiyaq eats all the makhan and then goes out in the galli and plays Chopat with the other nalaiyaqs like this…>

And finally in the END the feudal lord that these poor souls are working for takes all the cash and the produce while leaving them even more in debt with obscene amount of interests that these farmers owe the feudal lord (jaagirdar). its ironic all this beauty has such a tragic ending. sigh
