^ Back in 1998 I don’t think all this “information” was as required as it is now, when they made information ‘mandatory’ and people didn’t stay on GS thats when these were not ‘clickable’ anymore.

Division of muslim land is completely prohibited only morons would call for such a thing. what benefit do they seek by dividing the land when does it end? will it go to town by town or street by street like what happening in palestine.
Palestine used to be muslim problem, then it became arab problem then a palestinian problem then gaza v west bank problem now street v street it become ridiculous.

who is “dividing” it? The so called “division” is for administrative purposes and not for making them independent units, look at older maps (1940s, 1950s, 1960s), Punjab was not what it is today.

All the countries of the world have majority and minority provinces and they deal with this natural geographical fact by making pacts and compromises not by dividing bigger provinces into smaller non natural units.
Punjab is big province so live with it and propose more sane acceptable solution to your grievances , it is natural that people feel threatened with big province but they cannot suggest that the big province cut its own throat. What do you think by dividing Punjab you will convert the majority into minority ?

Provinces should be made but not on ethnic bases they should be made on administrative bases provinces made on ethnic base will cause more damage to Pakistan than doing anything good

Punjab in this case will have 50% of the senate seats instead of present 25%.. this will give dominance to Punjab in upper house in addition to the lower house. I don’t know if this will be acceptable to smaller provinces.

Sir you should listen to every one thoughts first secondly if we will make provinces on the basis of ethnicity than we will have to make hundred provinces Baluchistan because most Balochs are divided in Tribes and each tribe mostly doesn’t like each other and they are fighting with each other which have resulted in lot of deaths

Again there no need to break up Punjab or any other province. We need to focus on making the civil bureaucracy and the delivery of services better in the existing setup.

The problem with more provinces is that it seems to bring the worse out among Pakistanis. In theory I support the Seraiki province. They are an ancient people who should never be in Punjab. There are more differences between Seraiki and Punjabi then between Arabic and Hebrew. I also think the Chach illaqa and Isakhel tehsil of Punjab should be in Pakhtunkhwa. But can this be done peacefully, and the answer is no. So let matters rest until people are more mature. Similarly Pakhtunkhwa should also include FATA and northern Balochistan, while they should hand over Dera Ismail Khan and Tank to the Seraikis, Chitral to Gilgit Baltistan and have a separate Hazara province.
But it will never happen, so lets look at other issues.

Typical of someone who hates the Seraiki. I suspect you will next be calling for the Seraiki to be sent off to camps and exterminated so that you can posses their land.

I guess that first thing that we should all agree to is that we need more smaller administrative units i.e provinces.
Once all the (or most of the) political parties agree to that, permanent formula can be derived for new units. Personally, i am against creating provinces on ethnic basis. Provinces should be created where it make more administrative sense and bring ease for people living there.
All over the world, creation of these administrative units is an on-going process even in India where political dynamics are almost same as Pakistan.

True that, but to keep “sensitive” awaam like mukobhai/javedmiandad we should word the process carefully, instead of using the words “break up the province into…” we should use “create MORE provinces”. As soon as they hear the word “break up” their brain seems to shut down thinking its a conspiracy to break Pakistan/Muslims apart.
