Shahbaz pardons minister, blames media
LAHORE: Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has pardoned Minister for Prisons Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor, saying that public representatives and office-bearers need to be more cautious and careful than any ordinary citizens.
According to a handout issued on Sunday, in a letter written to Minister Ghafoor, the CM, referring to the untoward incident that took place at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, on May 19 2009, claimed that the government was committed to upholding the law and for that reason, it had appointed an independent tribunal to inquire into the matter.
Shahbaz said that contrary to the allegations, the tribunal had found the reported matter was not completely true and suggested that the media blew the incident out of proportions. He regretted that the conduct of a provincial minister was publicly suspected and categorized as inappropriate. He said that such conduct should not have been exhibited in the first place. “It is needless to emphasise that the public representatives and incumbents of public offices, need to be more cautious and careful than any ordinary citizen.”
The chief minister hoped that in future, besides making meaningful contribution to the affairs of the government, the minister would do his best to uphold the principles of rule of law, exemplary public behaviour and proper social conduct — values most cherished by any civilized and law abiding society.

It is really shocking what the people from pml N are doing.
Almost every week they have a new scandal. And the people just act like nothing has happend.
At least these stories are being reported, that in itself is a positive trend. Although we still have a long way to go we are making a little progress.

How can anyone say that case of Zina-bil-Jabr became case of Zina-bil-raza once money got paid or victim woman got terrorised by gundas of PMLN and thus case got withdrawn? Actually, when money was paid (as claimed) so that case could get withdrawn, than that in itself is proof that Zina-bil-Jabr happened. If event was of Zina-bil-Raza than there would not have been any case, and further, there would not have been need to pay money.
Since Zina-bil-Jabr is crime against society, it is duty of state (and court) that culprit gets appropriate punishment, regardless of women concerned want to pursue the case or not. Further there should be extra punishment for culprit and all his accomplices, on basis that culprit forced victim to withdraw the case, by harassing her and paying her money.
It is really surprising that even though most decent Pakistani knew that PMLN consists of liars, rapists, cheats, corrupts, terrorists, thugs, petty thieves, fraud, and immoral group of Pakistanis, no one expected that this party consist of such immoral group that every now and then one or other of their elected member is getting caught on one sort of immoral crime activities or another. It is obvious that these people are so immoral and corrupt that they not only openly lie, but their leader is known liar who did not even cared about the sanctity of Medina, city of Prophet (SAW), such that sitting there, he kept lying to world that he made no agreement with Pakistan government for getting pardon from his conviction. Sometime it amazes me that how any Muslim (unless that person is Munafiq) would vote for such party whose leader even do not care about sanctity of Medina, the city of Prophet (SAW), that he kept lying from there.
