Without following this discussion too closely, I can say that I have read in several places that much of the British Indian army in WWI and WWII was Punjabi muslim, thus explaining why they did not revolt against the British. Those who are being favored by the occupiers rarely need to revolt. In fact I know of several villages in northern Punjab\Chakwal\Jhelum area that were home to former Victoria Cross Winners. I suppose this was a betrayal of sorts some might say.
As far as fighting against Muslims, I think most muslim groups are guilty of that. From Those who helped destroy the Spanish muslim Empire, to some pashtun tribes who betrayed Syed Ahmed Shaheed to the Sikhs....... I think as a whole all ethnic groups from A to Z can be accused of something, thats why they say only idiots generalize.
