I’m not saying that stealing, adultery and alcohol consumption are mental torture (though that can definitely be the result). I’m saying that those crimes have clearly defined punishments. I’m also not saying that a person who has been put down by someone is necessarily a spoiled brat. What I’m saying is that a spoiled brat might also feel mentally tortured when not getting their way. Anyhow, from what I know mental torture is a category of its own with a defined punishment. In the case you mentioned, if someone is saying something to someone, then it might be punishable but would depend on what they’re saying. You’re better off asking an aalim for a proper response.
