PTV CLASSIC is good idea and second the cds or DVDs, which r available in market have no that high quality why PTV not didgitally remaster all its classic drams and released on Bluray or on DVD, i m sure people will love the quality

I was going through an old diary of mine and found the name of a play Aashiyana written by Athar Shah Khan and lead role played by Firdous Jamal. Unfortunately, no more info was written there and I also don't remember this play, whether it was a sitcom or a long play or whatever.
Please don't confuse that with the NTM **serial starring **Waseem Abbas, Seemi Zaidi, Kashif Mehmood, Maria Wasti, etc.

might be a long play as Athar Shah and Firdous Jamal are from two different centres. Karachi & Lahore. I don't think that Firdous Jamal had done a serial from PTV Karachi

Aik Gana Aik Afsana was a series shown in the year 2000
One memorable play was Mujhe Tum Nazar Se Gira Tou Rahe Ho starring Ali Salman & Sonia Rehman

House full was a very entertaining long play from Comedy Theater series. It was written by Jameel Bismil and leading roles were done by Jameel Bismil himself, Sohail Asghar, Naveed Siddiqui, Farah Tufail, etc.

hahaha have watched this long play 2-3 times, very very funny play and superb acting by sohail asghar, other plays in comedy theater series were also good....

i think its important to mention Ptv drama competition-2003 in this thread, many single episode plays were telecasted and then prize distribution ceremony was held for top 3 plays...
1st prize: raakh mein chingari, cast: nadeem, shagufta ejaz, naila jaffery, directed by yasir nawaz
2nd prize: azaad qaidi, cast: arif bahaleem, bakhtiar ahmed, directed by bakhtiar ahmed
3rd prze: pehli tareekh, cast: noman ejaz, talat hussain
well azaad qaidi was such a nice play with very different story, still fresh in my mind. here is the link of play;

yes basode ki maryam is also available, it was also in the competition but didn’t reach to the top 3. Here is the link;
raakh mein chingari is also available but only 2 clips of 3 minutes so its useless…

There was a drama competition in late 90s where they had plays like ‘Ek thi Mehroo’, ‘ThoRi si roshni’, ‘Qissa saat raton ka’, ‘Cat walk’

yes i watched all these plays, sania saeed won best actress Ptv award for aik thi mehru in 1999 ( and shabbir jaan won best actor for kashish). Catwalk also won some awards in that ceremony.
