PTV Drama ‘Kohar’

The drama was aired in early 90’s.

A socio-romantic drama serial in lighter vein. Story revolves around a motherless educated young girl with her well-to-do father and her grandmother who brings her up. Her father loves his daughter and he has not married again, but as he is a terribly busy person. His sensitive daughter feels neglected. A young boy returned from abroad in search of his roots falls in love with the girl and wanted to marry her, but due to some misunderstanding return back without marrying her. However, things finally resolved with a happy ending. Beautiful dialogues by Haseena Moin make this drama a must watch.

Guys I need help. This is bugging me big times :)
Anyways there was a Long Play, long ago, Actor was "Kamal Ahmed Rizvi" and it had another female actress as his wife.
It was something to do with depression or something (I was very young at that time :) )....
Anyways, I just remember one line from the Play where Kamal Ahmed Rizvi suggests that he will design cloth made out of glass....
Anyone has any idea which play it was. I am a big fan of Kamal Ahmed Rizvi/Ashtiaq Ahmad. THANK GOD for Youtube at least we can watch em now and see how great those plays were. Plays/Shows nowadays suck.

You are probably talking about 'Khoya Hua Admi' in TeleTheatre, where Khalida Riyasat played wife of Kamal Ahmed Rizvi.

O God Bless you :) It was super bugging me...Yes I guess you are right. Though i though that MIGHT be the Play, but when I checked Youtube, it was entirely a different Play.
Any idea where I can watch it. It had a Hauntingly depressing/realistic tone to it. Will love to refresh my mind, why it stuck alongwith me :)

Unfortunately, like many other classics, this is not available any where. On Youtube, you can watch ‘Alif Noon’ & ‘Chor Machae Shor’ of Kamal Ahmed Rizvi.

A months back, Kamal Ahmed was invited in ARY News Program ‘Titliyan’ to pay tribute to ‘Khalida Riyasat’, here is the link:

YUP all great plays.

do u remember another play (mid 90s) of saba hameed, waseem abbass, firdous jamal, samina ahmed and mehmood aslam where saba and waseem are hubby and wife and waseem kills her because of doubting that she was having an affair but infact saba had some psychological problems due to which she wasnot exactly paying attention to her married life. samina played her mother…mehmood was the writer in the drama and firdous is the lawyer who fights the murder case for waseem. i think waseem tries to prevent that he has some mental problems thats why the murder happened and firdous believes it and tries to prove that he was ill but comes to know about it later on. i just cant seem to remember this drama’s name. this drama had a BEAUTIFUL song called “koi khwaab hai ya saraab hai” sung by shabam majeed.

Yes I remember that drama ‘Nasheb’. Based on Abdullah Hussain’s (Udaas Naslen fame) novel, dramatised by Mirza Athar Baig and directed by; Ayub Khawar, Madeeha Gohar was alsoin that drama playing lady advocate. I love the song sung by Shabnam Majeed in that play. Could not find any whr. In Brunch with Bushra, when she invited Saba Hameed, the intro of the song of Nasheb was shown.

aaaah thankyou sooo much…it was called nashaib indeed and ya madiha was in it too. yup i saw the song of nasheb in bruch with bushra too (there was another clip from brunch with bushra where she gave a small tribute to this pakistani music director who composed nashaib’s song…cant seem to remember his name…bushra has this segment in her show where she remembers old work of great artists).

10. Another nice long play from Karachi center in which Talat Hussain acted as a professor, his wife is Fazeela Qazi. She gets anonymous letters which are actually written by her husband Talat. Fazeela acted brilliantly.

There was also a play called 'Aitbaar' with same plot, starring : Fazila Qazi & Qaisar Khan who were committed to each other, but due to an accident Qaisar Khan became lame and left the city and came back after many years to meet Fazila.

Ptv drama shaam se pehle (Manzoor Qureshi, Tahira Wasti, Sharqa Fatima, Adnan Jillani, Kamran Jillani, Imran Sheikh, and Ayesha Khan)
Written by Nighat Abdullah, Dramatisation Seema Ghazal, Directed by Kazim Pasha…it was a good drama. i fully used to follow it.

Not that one. It was quite an old play may be from the 80's. the play strated with scene of this strict college principal whom all the girls disliked and called her 'langri batakh' and bitter old woman because she never got married.
