Re: PTI slams PPP’s long march as “government sponsored”
I was just listening to CNN’s reporter and he was calling it a total flop for BB, with her supporters totally failing to turn out, and those few turning out getting voluntarily arrested. This turned out to be the SHORTEST March in history - even more humiliating than Nawaz Sharif’s reception. :rotfl:
according to CNN’s Karl Penhaul, who added that little effort has been made by officials and members of Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to breach the cordon. “These party officials show up to the barricades; they symbolically chant two or three slogans and then almost voluntarily they seem to be stepping into police vans to be taken off for some kind of arrest,” Penhaul reported. “But certainly, there … is no massing of party interests here and certainly, right now, there are many more police and, indeed, many more TV cameras than there are supporters of Benazir Bhutto.”
