in terms of what pti did it was legally dubious but then the whole process was duvious and the options for them were limited to allowing their mpas to vote unchecked. That would mean some would have sold their vote and no way of confirming who. Or tightly controlling it through dubious means and also punishing JUI and PPP for messing up the deal to change the voting system.
In the end PTI went for the latter option..one positive though that people trying to buy votes lost heavily.
