Selfie Boy is OUT!
he is now gonna go back to what he does best…take his selfies!

Imran Khalid to Ahmed Shehzad, OUT, spooned back to Khalid. This held up in the pitch further. Shehzad seeks to turn it to the leg side. He pops a return catch off a leading edge

^^^ You are right. Actually, there are more chances to lose wickets when team is playing fast from start, but then team only has 20 overs, so it should not matter. Team should play fast until they lose 7 wickets and then can play tuk-tuk if they lose quick 7 wickets, because even then they can still play all 20 overs with their last 3 wickets (though slowly).
But if they play slow initially, then even if they have 10 wickets left, they cannot do much in last 3 or 4 overs.
Re: PSL: Match 1 - ISL united v/s Quetta Gladiator - Feb 04
Wasn't wrong to call Islamabad United Tuk Tuk XI. Misbah cannot be blamed though
Well, as Captain, it is his call to tell players how to play and how much risk to take. ... It is his decision too, on who to play and who to send first. He can decide that all stroke players should go early, and tuk tuk players go later.
So, if stroke player do not get out, team would have good run on board, but if they get out early than tuk-tuk player would finish the job, though with low score on board.
Captain's job is not about how they play themselves, but about how they take the team into game and make the team play.
Re: PSL: Match 1 - ISL united v/s Quetta Gladiator - Feb 04
I have to appreciate the captaincy of Sarfraz. He realized that pitch is more suitable for spinners and thus took advantage of all 3 spinners he had, giving them 12 overs, even at the expense of Umar Gul and Anwer Ali, and that kept Islamabad runs to the minimum.
I am pretty sure that most other Captains would not have taken into account pitch and situation that much, using Umar Gul and Anwer Ali for 4 overs each.
Anyhow, I think Islamabad team cooperated too, as they came into field with mindset of slow batting initially and going for big hits later, but in T20 and with today's mindset, there is no luxury of slow batting at any time. One only need careful batting with regular risks even during initial stages.

woo..slow down cowboy, its just first game. All teams are pretty good. Infact I'm all for karachi but it looks weaker than others.
Believe me, I always thought that amongst 5 teams in tournament, taking into account all aspects, Quetta is the strongest.
Quetta team is most balanced and have good stroke batmen as well as effective bowlers. It is not team that rely on mediocre all rounders like Karachi, or have conservative Captain like Islamabad, or have irresponsible captain like Peshawar, neither have 'not-so-imposing' Captain like Lahore.

I'm really impressed with the two young ones, United's Khalid Amin and Quetta's Nawaz. Very good talent. Thats what we are looking forward to, to have the hidden gems exposed.
