well amreeka in not the WHOLE world.
Guns save lives all over the world.In Countries like pakistan the house holds which have half decent weapons , never become target of home invasion.
Because home invasion is never random they collect information first, IF they know you have weapons and you know how to use them you are very unlikely to become target.
