I love chocolates, cakes etc you name it nia khan wants it :smiley:

But This is what i do now - instead of having the entire chunk i would take tablespoon and add as much as it can handle :smiley: and eat it. - with a reminder that i have to run extra 5 mins on treadmil.

So next time i try to go near it extra 5 mins hang on my head and i turn and eat strawberries thinking its a strawberry short cake

*sigh…

slowly and slowly i dont even get cravings for those anymore… i look at it and go its extra 5lbs on my thigh :frowning:

its all in the mind- if you have made an intention to do something, do it. i know its easier said than done but just stack healthy food at home so whenever you need to put something in your mouth for the heck of it- you won't be gaining pounds.

i.e: replacing sodas with juices, tea,lemonade,shakes made with skim milk (no sugar). icecream/chips/cookies with humus, grapes, garlic sauce with olive oil, chicken, fish, basically anything as long as its not fried.

and no roti and chawal just a piece of bread a day or two if u r really hungry.

Oh the best diet is to cut out sugar. Like, refined sugar. If you're going to have sugar, make sure its natural sugar, like fructose in fruit or lactose in dairy. Fruits are great, because they have fiber. Fiber helps metabolize sugar. Any starchy foods should be accompanied by fiber as well. So if you have potatoes, make sure you've got vegetables that go with it. Or go for whole wheat starches.

I think in the past few weeks I have lost 7 lbs by sticking to this diet.

You know the funny thing is, if you try cutting out ALL carbohydrates (including even the good ones), for like 2-3 days, you find yourself not caring about sugars. Do it south beach diet style, and work the good carbs back in after 2 weeks of denying yourself carbs, and it works out pretty darn good actually. I have like no desire for ice creams, chocolates, candies, etc. I actually have cravings for veggies, lean meats, fruits, whole wheats, etc now.

Hmmm.. I wanna try that.. dunno whas stopping me though :frowning: Cuttin out carbs temporarily IS a gud idea.. but only temporarily, n gradually bringin them back in.. :halo:

I love love love sweets....

but i'm giving up...I wanna lose 5-10 lbs now.....for summer, so from Friday my diet and gym is startin...I will do 2 classes a night of aerobics/boxercise/wieghts and eat NO JUNK...Im not doin the no carb thing, i love pasta too....so who wants to start my fitness regime with me?
