Far from it Lushi, I was actually just pointing out the criteria that many (most?) american muslims use for selecting their top candidate (ie; let's vote for the team that doesn't include a guy named Lieberman). Interesting group you choose to compare that stance too... very sad

well majority of americans..muslims or otherwise did not vote for the team with Lieberman last time either (if you dont look at the popular vote that is because by that token Gore would have been in teh white house)
P.S. in this poll whose last name is actually Lieberman, Bush or Cheney? Bush looks too much like his dad (not that its a good thing) so maybe Cheney then?

The majority of americans didn't vote for Lieberman/Gore unless you look at the popular vote. Huh Fraudz, I know it's friday afternoon but you're talkin in circles man???
I will cast my vote for whoever likes the jews the least. Which one is that?

Stu bhaijan, why are you getting all defensive here?
As far as the muslims not voting for Liberman goes, I think thye would like to have a president who they percieve as being more sympathetic to the palestinians. Also, muslims are generally conserative people so Bush would have been a logical choice.
Quite one-sided results, if you ask me. Surprising, cz muslims are typicaly deemed favoring conservatives. Presumably the tide will be in the opposite direction in UK (liberal Tony will not get much muslim vote) when their time comes.

not quiet, let me simplify
your assumption was that muslims will nto vote for teh ticket with the name lieberman on it..
to which i said, and let me rephrase this time
1)Americans..musims or otherwise did nto elect gore/lieberman anyways, so does the same logic applies to them?
2) dont count the popular vote because that does not matter, had it mattered lieberman would be in hiding instead of cheney :)
Therefore..this thoery about majority of ppl not voting for the ticket with lieberman on it applies to everyone.
More ppl may have voted for them.. but more ppl that voted, whose votes counted..did not vote for him..
Well, I am hoping for the continuation of the Bush white house. I want my taxes low, repulsion of the estate tax and further diligence in the war on terror. All three very good reasons for having Bush in the WH>
