First of all, I’m failed to understand why President’s statement is being considered as intervention of state in public affairs. He just gave a statement without banning any activity on V-day. Where did he go wrong to state that this is a western tradition. Any doubts in it?

Bilawal is real child to utilise this opportunity to set political score. The state has neither banned the day nor taken any measures to punish who are celebrating it. Even state owned PTV is showing V-day transmission.

i just dont understand…pakistan affairs is considered to be one of the most difficult forums to moderate due to people’s passion for their parties but what i struggle most is not the diversity of opinion but the way people express their opinion...whichever thread you go, you find derogatory language, dirty slogans, straight galiyan, abusive/harassing tone… why cant we express ourselves in a normal way? why have we become so intense and why are we so frustrated and upset all the time?

zamana badal gaya hai janab. You just can’t blame new generation for labeling someone ‘ulloo ka patha’, just because that person stated the obvious, in this very thread you can observe senior people using term khinzeer for political rivals without any tangent.

zamana waqai badal gaya hai. Muhabbat / Ishq used to be a personal affair in people’s life. Our very own Urdu romantic poetry contains verses like:

mujhe ishtahar si lagti hain, ye mohabbaton ke kahaniyan
jo kaha nahi wo suna karo, jo suna nahi wo kaha karo

Now on V-day, Pakistani channels are showing messages from love-birds to each other on TV screens with names. Aage aage dekhiye hota hai kiya…
