Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Inter finally managed to beat Milan (with 3-2) after so many years and now they target the championship. With an average attendance of around 80,000 Milan Derby is the biggest game on soccer calendar.

Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
What a grand performance by Adriano. He seldom performed in Milan derby but he did so this time. Milan's attack is superb but its defence is aeging and leaking way too many goals. I feel Milan coach will depart soon.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Average age for Milan (preferred first team) is above 30, I guess, so it is not just defense that is aged.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Chelsea continues to lead Premiership by 9 points after comfortably beating Arsenal by 2-0. Good to see Robben's quality display after a long while.
Milan and Inter cut Juve lead by two points after Juve drew against Lazio. Barca gained further lead over La liga as Real Osa suna match ended in draw.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
english premiership - all the big teams won on wednesday apart from the scums(MUFC) who drew 2-2! chelsea look likely to walk away with the title, liverpool are doing really well and will be targetting the 2nd/3rd spot, arsenal/mufc have been to inconsistent, next few years could really see liverpool/chelsea emerge as the new powerhouses of football in england!
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
^ I agree with you nesta. ManU and Arsenal will have to catch up with Chelsea foremost and to some extent Liverpool. Both are top teams right now.
Premiership winner team is almost decided. There is no way Chelsea will drop 11 points in later half of the season whereas they have dropped only 5 points so far Liverpool are current second and havent lost since last 11 matches.
Serie A was given new hope when Juve drew with Chievo and allowed Both Milan teams to cut the gap. But I jsut dont see Juve losing this comfortable lead.
Barca has won 17 consecutive matches and currently lie 7 points ahead of Osasuna. Valencia have picked up speed incredibly and lie third while Real is so far away that it sucks.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Chelsea were beaten by Middlesborough tonight. 3-0 was the heaviest defeat under maurinho and coming 10 days before the Barcelona match, it must be worrying for them. Although they have an almost unassailable 12 points lead at the top. The real race is for the second spot and relegation spots.
Juve are in a similar position but they have started to drop points and with Milan-Inter both doing good, it will be closer than expected.
Real Madrid seem to finally getting it right uder new coach and notched up fifth consecutive la liga win to cut down Barca's lead to seven points. It might get closer as well.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Real madrid - valencia top of the table clash in mastella ended 0 - 0 with Ronaldo missing a penalty in last minute to win game for Real. Ronaldo seems to be on his way out after the resignation and we can expect quite an upheavel at Real this summer. Barca all set to retain their spanish title.

tonight:
FC Barcelona vs Real CF Madrid

Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Chelsea dropped points yet again and ManU took full advantage to reduce the gap to seven points with seven games to go. ManU and Chelsea game should be really interesting but I must say Chelsea have been really average lately and gone off the boil since losing to Barca while others have picked up their forms.
If real beat barca some how, it should throw la liga open once again but I really doubt it. If they manage to control Ronaldino then of course any team can beat Barca. Can't wait
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Barca - Real ended in 1-1 as Roberto Carlos got red-carded in the first half. goals from the two Ronaldo's ensured a draw. Barca will now be looking to ease through to the title.
In Italy, Juve could manage only a draw before their tie against Arsenal in midweek. however, Milan lost meaning Juve now only need 10 points from 6 matches to clinch the title.
In England, Henry produced two magnificent goals to guide Arsenal 5-0 against Aston Villa.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Juve drew their fourth match in a row and now only have 3 points advantage with 3 macthes to go.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
Chelsea clinched their successive title in style by beating ManU 3-0 at home. Title was never in doubt but tis was a fantastic performance by Chelsea.
I hope juve lose this title to milan. They deserve it after their atrocious performances in second half of the season while Milan steadily built up the momentum. Thats probably the only league that isnt settled right now whereas it should have been the first one to. Go milan go :k:
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
In Spain, Barceline clinched the title for a second year running. Infact Barca didn't even need to win after Valencia lost to Mallorca.
SO, only Italy and Germany remain undecided at the moment.
Re: Premiership - La Liga - Serie A 05-06
on the final day, Juventus clinch their 29th Scudetto
