Ok, so whom did you propose to, on your own and followed up the Sunna? Yeh kissi aur ko lecture deyna ahsaan…
Jab apni baat hoti hai, tab haqiiqat kuch aur hota hai…lol Last I checked, Sunna isnt mandatory, rite?
And sorry to say this, but Pakistani traditions especially about rishta, marriage etc are former hindu traditions. People have converted to Islam generations ago, but they didnt find it suitable to change values/traditions that are NOT that Islamic… I cant change reality, girly.
Yes, I will repeat my words…Im VERY glad, we dont send people as third party or go to seek rishta by sending our elders. It is our tradition, the elders or head of family visits the family of the girl…period. We neither pay the wedding expenditure or such. The girl is allowed to decorate her master-bedroom and thats all. IF our elders find out there is planned to give jaheez or car or such…then they can boycut the wedding.
However, if parents wants to give their own daughter…like propety..its ok.
It is expected the guy delivers, since he WILL be the care taker in future…
And I think it is fair, the more it costs a male to hold his wedding…the more serious, he will take upon his responsibilities. The easier you make it upon them, thus the thinking…Im male, I will just remarry. Mera kuch nahin gaya.
And this reality IS the same for my own brothers…
Thats why my mamajaan always tell them:
Larki laana ahsaan kaam nahin…
Like in my own case, my aunt KNEW a sudden person is looking for rishta. The third party involved from guy’s side, they sent message… So summa summarum, they will invite my elder aka mamajaan to visit them or come over to visit us, all depending how my mother finds it fit.
