Facials before wedding
I was wondeing which facials are best ones to get before the wedding and how long do the effects of facial last for?
I keep hearing about whitenning facials but I don't know if it really brightens up the complexion or not.
Has anyone had experience with herbal facial? Please let me know about good salons in karachi for facials.
Re: facials before wedding
i dont know if any facial can truly whiten your skin..it might brighten your skin but i feel like unless you get it the same day, how could the effects last that long?
i'm just hesitant to recommend a place for facials cause its always risky to do something new to your skin right before the wedding...whatever you want to do, try it out a few months before and if you like it, do it again towards the wedding.
Re: facials before wedding
Im not looking to "whiten" my skin but just somethign that will brighten up the complexion and make it maybe glowy or soemthing like that.
Has anyone had good experience with herbal facials?
Re: facials before wedding
i have these brightening facial cloths from shiseido, and they work, but the results just last for a day.
Re: facials before wedding
Thanks. Yes i have hears about shiseido but i doubt i can find it in pakistan.
....I think that herbal facials would be great, but just one word of advice please-whichever facial you decide to have, please do ensure that you have it no later than a week before the wedding, just incase you have a reaction to any of the products, and breakout in spots on your special day
All the best,
Chitra x
Re: facials before wedding
The "whitening" facial I had done in Pakistan was actually a regular facial with BLEACH. I have never bleached my face and was shocked, since I thought the facial was something to just add a glow. However, I'm already pretty fair and nobody noticed, but my cousin who got it done with me, whose not as fair, was getting compliments for the next week about how "saaf" her skin looked
Re: facials before wedding
Yeah whitening facials include bleaching your face! Had it done once, it brightened my face for a short while only.
I went to Depilex a few days ago for a sensitive skin facial. My skin did look cleaner, but for a day only. I think if I get it done regularly, it'll make a lasting difference. The beautician applied antiseptic at the end, which is good :) None of the facials I've had at local parlors included that.
Re: facials before wedding
Ive only had one facail in my life and I didn't really notice such a big different But at my sister in laws wedding, I had something done (i dnt remember whats it called as she told them what to do) Im pretty sure they just bleached my skin. My skin did look good for 1 day. It wasn't a facial tho, it was like a, I'm totally forgetting whats its called!
Re: facials before wedding
^face polish?
my cousin got a facial from allenora's salon right before her wedding and she broke out like crazy. they had to cover it up, but they covered it up pretty good.
once i also got a facial done over there, didnt make much of a difference like others have said. although my sister had under-eye treatment done from depilex and they did an amazing job with that because she gets really dark circles and they basically vanished.
Re: facials before wedding
I had a whitening facial before my bros wedding, and it was horrible. had no effect in my opnion.
Re: facials before wedding
Try out Pond's institute at the forum - if you're in Karachi. They'll reccomend you a facial according to your skin type and they're pretty good.
Re: Facials before wedding
I think Gina would have more info about this.
Herbal facials are really drying- not a good idea if u have dry skin.
Skin "polishers"= no-no, they contain heavy amounts of bleach and a 'whitening" facial is nearly the same thing.
For pigmented skin AHA facials give great results
Acne Facials for acne prone skin
Paraffin facials for extremely dry skin
Green tea facials for oil/combination skin.
Galvanic facials for dehydrated and dull skin.
Aromatherapy facials for normal skin.
Whichever facial u decide to get, don't try it too close to u're wedding day incase u breakout or get any kind of reaction.
-Make sure the salon uses clean sponges (or take u're own)
-Make sure the blackhead extracter and tools have been disinfected.
