The interesting thing is that it seems as if PPP wants to bring some loyalist as the caretaker PM who is acceptable to PMLN but hostile to PTI. If this is true how can this lead to a free and fair election?

I don’t think PPP has a lot to fear from PTI. It is PML(N) which is going to lose votes to PTI. PPP votes are traditionally based on blind loyalty either to the party or ‘saeen’ or chaudhry or sardar.
