Syra, Y U SO FAB!? You have a lovely collection! LOVE IT! And I love that your lipstick collection is so well-rounded, that is def. one thing in my stash I lack :bummer: (I tend to be more of a cheek person but seriously, how many blushes/highlighters does one really need?!). :k:

Re: Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

Syra I think I have the same obssession with lippies that you do, but your collection is gorgeous!

Re: Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

Here's mine! I've only just started 'collecting' but funds are low :( so no more shopping. Some of the stuff I got when it was really cheap and I had no idea about makeup.

Here’s where it’s all stored. The Rest are self explanatory!

Re: Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

^OMG! Love your collection, Cuppy! Why do you feel like it's not good? You have it quite rounded and a bit of everything. And it's quite big as well. I say you keep it at this size since it'll be much more manageable. Also, I love your blushes and mascaras!

Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

Ahh thanks M! It's good but I feel like I don't have a lot of variety in many things. Like blushes. The nars and bourjois ones are practically dupes. I wear the same blush day in day out even though it's a rubbish quality blush because it doesnt last me the whole day. The reason me wearing it is because it's the only colour I feel looks nice. I LOVE my lipsticks but seen so many more nice colours! My foundations are fine. I like how they go on and the coverage is good. Mascaras I've found my one which is max factor. Lol actually looking at my collection spread out like that makes me think I have LOADS! Just need a few more bits like blushers! I am definitely a lipstick person though! Nothing pulls my face together like a lipstick!

Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

I also need some specific brushes but I'm saving up for sigma! Might as well splurge and buy some nice quality ones right?

Re: Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

Aww, no! Don't worry. IMO, Sleek ones are excellent! If you need to buy any high-end blushes I would recommend more mid-range ones like NARS/Illamasqua and not MAC. Katie from Illamasqua is a great one to have or Rude Cream blush. I love NARS blushes and Amour is EXCELLENT to have on hand.

Yes! Sigma is really great if you're starting out, esp. that Face Kit they have which is really great. But then again, Real Techniques are also great. The only one MAC brush I would recommend you get is the #109. When I was saving up for my Japanese (Hakuhodo/Chikuhodo) brushes, I put away every brush except my MAC 109 which I used for 2 months for everything from powder, blush, bronzer, highlighting, and contouring. It's an excellent brush to have and many people even use it for liquid foundation, but since I prefer my fingers for that I left my 109 just for powders. It is a superb brush to have.

Re: Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

Same here! And I love that you wear bright lippies, that's such a breath of fresh air.

Re: Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

hey cuppy simply love love ur collection i saw one sleek bronzer(if i am not wrong) can you do a review? and i am saving up for sigma brushes as well :lifey: @M_was_here i need to buy some eyebrushes how is sigma face and eyekit?? would that be enough for a beginner?? and can u recommend a good drugstore highlighter?? i am NC30-35
and what are some basic eye brushes i need?? i am a zero :halo:

Re: Post your: Makeup/beauty collection!

^Not sure about the Sigma eye kit but I really enjoyed the Face Kit because it had every brush you could possibly need, so it's GREAT for beginners. A drugstore highlighter? Hmm. Not sure exactly but I know Maybelline's Single Eyeshadow in 'Champagne Fizz' makes a great highlighter for both the cheek and eyes. I don't have it but I have seen it on Youtube.

As for eye brushes the essentials are: a laydown brush (shader brush to pack color on the lid (MAC 242 is great)), a blending brush (to diffuse or blend colors (I would get the 217 for blurring harsh lines and blending it all with the 224 which, IMO, is a must!) and if you do really elaborate makeup like smokey eyes or winged smudgey liner etc you probably want to have a pencil or detail brush (MAC 219 is great).
