ummmm - the see thru outfit is mostly for ramps only to make it more seductive. Of course the lining is added when a real person wears it! 
but then - we have seen see churidars - so don’t know what to say. I would be HORRIFIED to see anyone at a party wear that

I like the pairings of the colors in the first one and that's a flattering cut i have a lot of dresses or tops like that, so i liked it
the bottom outfit was just too much volume.

I thought I’d contribute to this growing thread. There sure are some ugly outfits out there that I don’t understand why some people would wear. Either the color is horrible or the cut is unflattering but here are some pics:
I could probably go on and on with pictures but here a sample of what NOT to wear for any reason..unflattering, weird designs and some even weird colors. I rest my case. P.S.- I am not trying to offend anyone or any culture. I love Indian/Pakistani wear, just not these types in particular.
I really dislike patiala shalwars, but this is tooo much!! eew. They are trying to make it look fashionably modern for girls who want to have a bit of a western look.(Overkill) Even a Western girl would never wear this. When I saw how “in” short kurtas with shalwar/pajamas were around eight-ten years ago I asked myself “Can they and will they get any shorter?” and this pic proves it can. My grandma said shorter kurtas with pajamas and shalwars were okay as long as they didn’t look like American size tops girls wear at school/going out etc as in like this picture!!

you know pants like dhoti styled are coming out in american brand name stores, they look horrid and the crotch is super low. but i wouldn't be surprised if later this yr they are a staple of fashion with itty bitty tank tops.
