I like that orange and black sari. I think the model wearing it pulled it off quite well.The black gives it some glam; the reddish- orange catches the eye and looks quite daring, with out looking like a big construction sign. It's different so it give a nice breath of fresh are. I must say, orange is a hard color to pull off, and the model did a good job. I think the fact the fact that is reddish orange, subdued that bright orange effect neatly.

I also like how she accecesorized it the with earings. I wouldn't be sure what kind of earing I would wear with it...because with orange I would normally wear gold, and with black something silver...but she found the perfect earing with it!

I also think that outfit would go well with a smoky eye look.

Right now I love Patiala Shalwar…
My mum just bought me some back from India and they are sooo comfortable
I agree that not everyone would suit it - most people would though…For example I was at a wedidng on Saturday and this girl who was very tall (I’m talking over 5’ 8) and very skinny had a full patiala on with the shortest of tops think about hip length - it looked odd.

Also, it’s a very modest style too…

^acually the colors and the pleats don't suit on that material. It makes it look all bunched up.

I have a very beautiful patiala outfit too and it looks very ELEGANT. I look good in it. It's very comfortable too.

Gia Ali’s afro get up is such a put off. I don’t think I would even buy the magazine that featured this photoshoot.

Everything is really weird here. The model is fresh faced and cute but the colours of the sari, the added-on fish scale like appliqué border and the desperate blouse are doing nothing for her image. I can’t ever wear this creation.

that’s riya sen and as for the sari well it looks like typical sabyasachi kinda work with all the blended textures and colors that somehow don’t go but go… i don’t think it’s that bad of a sari compared to some of the stuff that’s out there

whats even funnier is on the Nomi Ansari facebook group, he’s put up this pic along with several other pictures of his designs. The other pics are full of compliments and no one wrote ANYTHING underneath this picture. it just looks wierd next to all the other pics with so much praise for them! shouldnt he get the hint?
