800 pounds/1600 USD isn't expensive for a wedding dress, esp if it's from Pakistan. But you can definitely get something absolutely gorgeous for under 15-20,000 Rs. Depends on where you go. IMO cost doesnt necessarily determine how beautiful it is.

I like hte color of the dress, but not the makeup colors :frowning:

This is cute. but the thing with wearing red is its hard to find proper eye makeup to go with it.

1600 USD is quite expensive by pakistani standards.
i have seen a few sobia nazir designs in real. a friend wore her designs on her barat and valima. the dresses were not too heavy and cost around 80,000 RS. they were cute though....I prefer her over HSY who is way overpriced.

lol guys!!
my sister emailed this pic to my cousin in pak, she took it to a zari house in karachi and had a copy of it made, it cost around 28,000 Rs and looked STUNNING, seriously she wore it for my wedding and ppl thought it was a bridal dress
she also had the colors changed to match her jewelry set (fuschia and turquoise, looked v cute) and had 3/4 sleeves (rest of arms covered by chorian)
the only thing i would recommend to someone wanting to do this-- plz specify the length of the shirt and the fitting of the gharara-- we didnt and so the zari house assumed we wanted it to be all tang like in the pic and the shirt was a bit too short for our taste as well, other than that they did a super job!
