Guys, Silly is not getting it , poor soul. Banishing reservation would serve the purpose of eliminating caste system. One have to invoke caste to get a reservation. U know what that means, getting a certificate from the village officer, tahsildaar or who ever stating that he is of so and so caste and need reservation.

I am asking the time period. Do not give me one or two examples. In treta yug we find Shabri, a shudra woman by birth. In Dwapar, Karna, was never accepted by the upper casts.
Cast system based on work are fake excuses. Cast system is much deeper than explained, I am sure.

anjjan, Its Manu Smiriti which fixed caste system to birth first time... before that it wasn't.........
Though you may have instances prior to that due to typical case of people following the profession of father....... and that could have been reason for things to get documented by Manu Smiriti... and leading to biggest injustice ever done on mankind.......

If cast system was based over work process, can you show me how many inter cast marriages took place in our epics, and in pre-historic period?
Shall I remind you that our upgraded communists, atheists and so-called progressives even today do not make marital relation-ships with the sub-casts even if they (the sub-cast) are in high positions in life?
And all above mentioned progressives believe in your theory of cast system. No, sir, it is hypocrisy.

how this cast system started?...i dont know...But it is definitely decided at birth. anyway, changes are happening and it's good that they are happening.
