that would be true if Ponting had made these comments about someone like Strauss, Pietersen, Younis, Asif, etc who would be the Aussie team’s targets.
when he talks about Afridi… don’t think it’s any games that he’s playing. from his point of view, he’s being upfront. just like he was when Pakistan was in Australia and he questioned why Pakistan was playing batsmen who clearly didn’t have the temperament to stay on the wicket while leaving out players who did. don’t think he even felt the need to play mind games with Pakistan. seemed like he almost felt bad for our team and was giving sincere advice. same is the case here, imo.
