Just thought we should recall the words of a local Iraqi at the time this poll was taken:
Iraqis often say they do not like seeing U.S. soldiers on their streets — but many would also agree with the crude assessment a 66-year-old tailor in Kut gave to Time magazine’s Terry McCarthy: “If the Americans leave now, everyone will start eating each other.”

It seems that even with the Americans on the streets they are “eating each other”. Take the time to read the poll, and remember how things were improving before the Iraqi Intifada began.
