Generally smaller parties and ideological parties tend to be quite uncorrupt. The MQM, JI, PKMAP, BNP Awami, ANP and tehrik-e-insaf, Asghar Khans party are all fairly clean parties, the difference being the MQM and JI tend to be corrupt for power not for money per se. Also remember the only parties which have internal elections are JI and ANP.

Criminal Mullahs should be punished and so do the urban Mafioso in addition to any criminals from rural areas. However wholesale condemnation of the landowners is a very typical Bihari trait carried all the way from the great home state. Even in that God-awfully dirt poor state, Runbir Sena resulted from criminalization of landed class.
Bottom line is that bloody revolution won’t work for Pakistan and the changes if any will come only when different parties will work with each other in resolving big or small issues.

I also forgot about of our judiciary and yeah extortioninst of MQM.
By Fuedals I meant the waderas, chaudarys, maliks, sardars.Dont you think we need land reforms or you support a man having thousands and thosands acres of lands.And everyone knows what they do to their people those who die from torture in their private jails and what not.why should I support a fuedal anyway?So whether they are landowners,landlords fuedal whatever they are called there a big hurdle in the development of our country.
Different parties need to talk and devise a stragety a common program for the people.
And hating beharis wont solve any problem.

Sir It is not about following leftist ideology which everyone knows failed in many countries.Left vs right,Conservative liberals vs communists etc.
I think we need a slow and gradual transition we cant have capitalism where more than 40% live below the poverty line.We need to have a great emancipator like abraham lincoln who abolished slavery because our farmers and peasants are like slaves.What benefit will the free market give to the Kami and kami kameen class of our society??

Z A bhutto's Roti,kapra makan slogan was just to fool the public.He was not a socialist.Big landowners like ghulam mustafa khar,jatoi and others were with him and were the founding members of the party.
The process of Nationalisation only helped in increasing nepotism in our society.Everyone wanted to be part of the government.Jobs were given to those who didnot deserve anything.
So what has pakistan gained in following the policies of world bank and IMF???
how can capitalism help in a country where tax culture doesnot exists.
Wishful thinking is all what our politicians and our intelligentsia have been doing for the last 59 years.

Oh Baboo! IMF or WB will say what they want to say. Bottom line is that we ought to free ourselves from the clutches of show-shaw-lism or the concept of "welfare state". It hasn't worked for the last 60 years and it won't work in future either.
Tax culture does exist as we all are paying taxes through through the nose. What do you pay on petrol (gas), utilities etc.? What do you call the price gouging at the pump? A Khairat or Bukhsheesh.
Our farmers's backs are broken with the burden of agri-taxes such as Maliyana, abiyana, and excise taxes. You think the revenue collectors in the name of Patwaris, and Qanoogos are handing out Mithai (sweets) to the farmers?
We do have a tax culture, it is just the wrong show-shaw-list type of tax culture.

What i meant was no one in pakistan does politics based on certain ideology it just about their own selfish interests.All our politicians are self centered they dont even care about the workers of their parties.A common man cant have anything from them.From Nationalists ,Socialists to islamic parties they dont have a program for the people.
i know you are sensitive about landowners(the big ones too)but the back of the poor farmer is literally broken with their torture too.how will they survive suggest a policy for the 70% living in our villages????
Tax evasion is all around the world but in pakistan you can see from a shopwalla to a tycoon they all are involved in misleading the government.
It not about being socialist or capitalist.Some measures should be drastic we need a strong political system(presidential or parliamentary),improving our judicial system and with need speedy justice(justice delayed is justice denied),And the people who we should get rid of discussed in my early posts.
If you can device an economic system no matter it is free market of which you advocate.

Altaf husain started his politics with apmso and after twenty years of mohajir rights etc he suddenly went on to become a sindhi and renamed his party as well and now he is the demagogue.Claiming to represent 98% of the population.So from representing 8 percent to 98 percent.
Prof khursheed and his articles on "Bila Sood Bankari ".I think he is now been elected from NWFP they should have given him MPA ticket and made him the Finance minister of NWFP.
