Yes, it is good. Policy of strategic depth was a code for saying that Pakistan owns Afghanistan. Obviously we don’t.
In order to achieve this romantic “strategic depth” we were banking on support from only ethnicity in Afghanistan, and totally ignored that the country is multi-ethnic.
We were hoping that under the banner of Taliban, the Pashtuns will subdue other nationalities and thus the concept of strategic depth would be achieved.
It backfired. And now we complain how anti-Pakistan Northern Alliance is.
