This is a strategic decision. PTI now realizes that the best way to power is to give PML-N another 3 years to demonstrate their incompetence.

Earlier, they were afraid that PML-N might perform competently and strengthen their hold on power. Now they have no such fears.

Well the thing is that PTI previously gave in to the ‘jazbaati brigade’ and conducted strategic blunders which they have belatedly realized and trying to correct. There were some PTI supporters (even then) who wanted PMLN to complete their tenure and expose themselves and in the meanwhile PTI should have used KPK as their base/launching pad for the next elections. The uturns the party is taking now could have detrimental affects for them come election time.
