I agree with Muqa bhai. Despite shortcomings of nawaz and all the chori..hamare politicians se isse zyaada umeed Kya Kiya jaye nothing wrong with letter.
Timing is wrong. He should be focused on healing from the attack for now and protecting the country.
and even I disagree with quite a few of what modi says. still I think in the few weeks as PM he has said right words in relations with Pakistan when he talks of friendship and shared culture in the letter. I think more can be done. Shayad Kuch zyaada umeed kar Rahi hoon and thodi idealistic hoon. Lekin I hope in front of 3rd countries instead of just talks of terrorism when talking of Pakistan I hope he speaks positive about the pakistani people and this shared cultural heritage they all mention which includes clothing, food, language and also mention contribution of what is now Pakistan such as the Mughal architecture, Indus Valley, taxila etc. things many in world don’t know.
I feel bad when past pms of India only focus on terrorism when with and generalise to show patriotism. Similarly I hope visas aur trade pe asar ho.

Good work by Pakistani army in handling it. Aap logon ke saath hamari duayein aur prathna hai ke aap is ttp aur terrorism ko harayein. Aur unko acha sabak sikhayein. Karachi is a beautiful city and I have many friends there to mera dil bhi dhuk tha hai sun ke.

that isnt photographed, imran got accosted by modi sometime in 2006 in delhi - they were both on-stage guests at some event. imran was pretty embarassed to be caught on camera with a cheerful modi out to shake his hand.

why write letters when u can do email and twitter? It's more efficient. Hmm. But then nothing like the good old fashioned letter.
If India and Pakistan actually had visionary, non corrupt leaders, who could think in a broad minded
way for long term benefit for all and had no vested interests without pointing fingers. They are not provoked by media and can make hard decisions. People who cared for benefit and interest of not only their country and also their neighbourhood. If that occurred within 5-6 yrs probably all issues ccould be solved.
But then aise log politics mein Kahan Jaate hain. If they do they get killed on the way up. Politics shouldn't be about self interest but personal self sacrifice for others.
Politics could have been a noble profession. Not in the subcontinent. Desi people are jazbaati but that jazbaat has hardly been used by politicians for good.
