see, holding hands, man putting his arm over his girl/ wife's shoulder, a cheek or forehead kiss, a formal hug, zulf ko kaan ke pechay kerdena, muskura muskura ke baat kerna.. kandhay p sar rakhlena........ its all fine, I think!! if its more than that........... then objectionable!!
I feel the same as long as the couple in question are married (and carrying their nikaah-naama). [j/k about the part in parenthesis. :)]

First of all to main is haqq me hi nahin hoon ke aap kisi ko itna ghor ghor se dekhen… apnay kaam se kaam rakhen idher udher tanka jhaanki ki zaroorat hi kiya hay, aur agar nazar par bhi gayee hay to its your problem.. get yourself out from somewhere you feel uncomfortable sitting in!!
you are right, in Pakistan it is quite embarrassing. In west, only teenagers do such stuff while standing outside theater for ticket /watching movie/at malls. But I think it is their culture which allow them and no one see them tukar tukar as what most pakistanis in pakistan see such activities at public places. I think, our social leaders do something in this regard and educate them that this not what we suppose to do, but provide full privacy at public place too. khair. I am quite positive.
Live and let live sounds better. However the restaurants could be divided into two sections, the smooch friendly and smooch free zones. Same goes for public places. Amusement parks should be smooch free, because they're frequented by kids where as cinemas can have smooch friendly zones.
Can't we accommodate everyone, times are changing and so are Pakistanis.
PS: I haven't smooched nor do I plan to smooch in public, in the near future. All I'm saying is PDA isn't killing anyone and we don't want to give people another reason to curse Pakistan. There is enough misery over here already.

I feel sorry for most of the people of Pakistan (including me ofcourse) who mold the customs, traditions and sometimes religion, according to them whenever & wherever required!!
