Insha'Allah she would be fine with the grace and blessings of Allah (swt).

Whatever Allah (swt) decides in our life is in our best interest but our mental capabilities are too limited to understand the widom behind any decision of Allah (swt) We would inshaAllah come to know about them in future or in the life hereafter.

Rabbir hum huma kama rabba yaani saghira (O Allah, Have mercy on my parents as they did raise me when I was a child).

i read this dua 4 my parents all the time.

I pray that Allah SWT blesses your Mum, you and your family with good health and the best of Iman inshallah...
