I know exactly what you are saying. I used to go out for lunch with Irfan at least once and sometimes even twice a week, we used to work very close to each other. He used to stop by my house Thursdays and over the weekends. But many Thursdays and many weekends have past by now........ it all seems like a bad dream..... my older son who is four was very fond of him. Irfan was there when he was born and Irfan took very good care of him from day one... he even used to baby sit him, feed him, change him... my son every now and then asks me about him, he used to call him Tao and he asks "where is Tao, ask him to come home, I want play hockey with him..." we don't know what to tell him.. we just tell him he has gone to Pakistan... one day I will teach him how to say Duaa for his Tao....
Thank you for pointing it out, yes Sadqa Jaria is the best thing we can do for ourselves and for others as well... My family started couple of projects for Irfan with this intention, may Allah accept this gesture in Irfan's interest... Sadqa Jaria can be anything that can help the creature of Allah; Muslim or Non-Muslim, human or non-human…. I personally like to donate to the mosques and Islamic schools this is a guaranteed Sadqa Jaria. There is a mosque in the Rolling Meadows, Illinois trying to raise funds to move into a bigger building so they can accommodate more people and also to accommodate overflowing student population. There are many worthy causes out there which need our attention. If anyone is interested please let me know.

This is truly sad and shocking. I never knew that Irfan Bhai was Rooster-Blues on Gupshup. I still remember my freshman year at Texas A&M University. Irfan Bhai took care of me and treated me like a little brother and always gave me the best advice. I would have been lost without him. The times i've spent in college station with him and his friends will be treasured for the rest of my life. I can't find words to express my sorrow.

I knew your friend Rooster Blues/Irfan long time ago and I came to know of his death by chance. I must tell you that I was shocked, and very saddened by the tragic news. Life is strange, we meet people, we make friends, we move on and lose track of them...but we never forget them....and we never expect to find such news of their untimely death at any time, let alone by a pure coincidence one night browsing the net. I cannot express how saddened I am by this news but I am certain that he is in a better place because I knew him to be a very good person. Although it has been 3 years now, please except my heartfelt sympathies.

i didnt know him either but that is so saddening and his child was born just a day after :(
may Allah (swt) look after his family, and i bet that child will grow up to become a strong and independant child.

thanks chi-girl, and I am sorry for the way you found out about this. I knew him for just a few years but found him to be among the most sincere, caring people i have ever met. I miss him.

Now, whenever I log onto Gupshup, there are two people for whom a prayer always comes out of my heart unintentionally.. One is Irfan and the other is Aejaz bhai…

Wait a minute....How is this possible? Mad_Scientist told me about his death a long long time ago when I used to be an active member here. He told me the same story, same person. That's weird.........
