PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

right arshad5,
that is life. and balancing, both is necessary.
which is why being moderate is necessary.

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

I am very moderate..and down to earth.

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

Strange concept Dushi, cause I have not met a poor happy person in my life so far.

Or lets put it that way. You pick 100 happiest people from your social network, I can gurantee you that 98% of them are not poor.

If money does not make you happy, then maybe being happy help you to make more money, but money and happiness do sit very close to each other

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

nahi TLK bhai, look around.
those who are very rich, how are they. either greedy or looking for relations.
no?
we too get so invested is spending then what we have, that it is not ever leading to mental peace.
i feel, less is better that is well used and still comfortable.
rather than having so much that one does not know how to spend it well to be stuck protecting it.
no?

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

Depends on your definition of poor.

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

i do agree that being content will lead people to live through the struggle of getting good income.

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

I read the history and I found that those who were considered the most poor according to this world's standards, lived their lives as the MOST happiest of all - Radi Allaho Anhum wa Radu Anhu.

So, following their examples, there is no reason we would bound money to be the source of happiness.... It could be one of the means but it is NOT happiness. If you give out money in the way of Allah, it could bring happiness in your heart but if you do not have money, giving a smile to your fellow being can also bring as much happiness within you...

It's all about perspective.

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

I think happiness is having enough to live on but no more.

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

Every rich person is not greedy. Every greedy person is not rich. Greed is, when you are ready to earn money by any means, legal or illegal.

If having money the cause of all evils, then why the most poor areas of any big city are the most crime infested areas, be it NewYork or Karachi.

Criminal minded people are not happy people. Prostitutoin, drug dealing, murders, auto thefts .. is that a reflection of greed that one has in him/her. Yes.

Is that making them happy?

I doubt

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

TLK what proportion of poor people are criminal?

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

that is true, TLK bhai. i totally agree with the exmaples you have shared in the discussion above.

money does not have to be a predisposer to ill acts. i agree.

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

The Salary has always been adequate in the Food....Alhamdulillah

:)** Salary = Salt :)**

Not too much not too little...........just right!

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

90% of criminal activites happen in the poorest neighborhood of any city.

I know its not the direct answer of your question, but we can do the caluclation from there.

Being poor should not be a matter of pride in this day and age where just to breath clean air and drink clean water, you have to pay the price

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

what is your definition of poor?

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

We are strictly talking about having money in your possesion, so to me, poor means you dont have enough money to take care of your needs.

Now we can all reduce our needs, but God did not create us to be a poor performer in our life.

If you can be a Doctor or Engineeer, and make good money, why to settle down and be a cashier or a clerk

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

I think 80% of the population of any country are poor or working class people.

Its kinda sad that you think that an occupation of a person makes a person better. Why is an Engineer a better person than a Clerk? Just because according to your logic an Engineer earns more money?

Re: PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR ...

I was talking about using your potential to the fullest. If a person fullest potetntial is to be a clerk, then he is a better person than the person who is setteled as an engineer but his fullest potential could make him a CEO.
