Please Congratulate "Ma Mooli" for completing Hajj

Khair mubarak. Thanks guys. If you have any questions I'm willing to answer them. We went for a short program of two weeks due to lack of holidays. So the stay was short but very intense!!

Lethal; ninja and syed; that is often the assumption... Most probably cause of postings in WA!

Re: Please Congratulate "Ma Mooli" for completing Hajj

Hajj Mubarak. When we went 6 years ago we also went on one of those short trips (15 days) which was very intense but rewarding at the same time. Unfortunately we didn't get to do any Ziaarat during our Hajj trip due to the lack of time, but we did when we went for Umra 2 years ago, Alhamdulillah.

Peace Ma Mooli,

Yes I hav a lot of questions but before i ask those question, why don't u plz tell us from beginning to ending how u performed Hajj. I mean where which location u started. Where u worn 'Ihraam' and so on step by step.

Please Congratulate "Ma Mooli" for completing Hajj

Thank you all so much for your duas and wishes everyone!

Umer; we managed some outside ziyarats in one day in madina, and makkah we just got a few extra ziyarat but alot was left out, including ghar e hira. Exhaustion and no time was the main reason. But we didnt mind altogether considering we'd done them previously during umrah.

We were a sub group of around 30 people; travelling via Egypt Air. We went directly to madina; where we stayed for 3 and half days before performing ghusl and wearing ihram for umra tamattu at the hotel.

We made our niyya at masjid e shajarah after maghribain salah; and spent the night on the coach travelling to makkah. It was around a 12 hours journey; as we got there around fajr time.

After fajr, breakfast and couple of hours rest; we made our way as group to the haram for umrah. It was a 5 min walk from our hotel.

We entered through bab e salam as it is recommended to do so for the first time. Our normal gate however was bab e abdul aziz.

We went through the gate and saw the kaba for the first time. It was just surreal. This is the time to make your dua as it is accepted straight away.

There were alot of people but it wasnt yet over crowded. There was plenty of space to move about. We made our niyah and started our tawaf from hajr aswad, which is marked by a green light on the opposite side.

I kept a small dua book and read just the translations. Theres no point reading in arabic if you dont know what you are saying! This is a conversation between you and God; speak whatever's on your mind! Ask away in your own language. We all know the status of a guest in islam; how much you must do to oblige them; here you are a guest of God; and this is your chance to ask/beg/plead and you can expect to be heard!

The best thing you could ask for is forgiveness in this world and next. But if you have a list of things you wanted to pray for; or names of people who asked you to pray for them, write it all down and take it with you, because the likelihood is you will get distracted and forget during tawaf! its good to have something to read just to keep the focus.

That does mean you will lose your tawaf buddies, but that is def. a good thing. Do your tawaf alone and you will be able to move at your own pace, focus on your duas and you wont be worrying about keeping up or keeping everyone together; as that is difficult to do in tawaf anyway.

The worst, and i mean the worst thing you could do is link arms or form trains. There are certain groups that do this, and it causes so much problems. They block people from entering and leaving tawaf; they run and push ppl aside just to keep up with their group. I mean wth?

Firstly pushing people in ihram is wrong; its violates the basis of ihram, secondly its just not just one person you are pushing; the ripple affects goes through the whole tawaf!! Thirdly; what is the hurry? You are only going round and round, same place as everyone else,so what is the need to run?

Fourthly; People who push to touch maqam e ibrahim and hajr e aswad during tawaf, tend to violate their own tawaf and others, because their left shoulders turn away from the kaba. Nevermind the pushing that occurs. So if you do attempt; go at the end of your tawaf.

Fifthly; when you enter or leave, please dont make a direct line out, go with the flow, stepping out or in gradually at a time, it will take you an extra round or two, but it means you wont be hindering/ affecting others in tawaf.

And finally; do not take valuables into tawaf. If you must; hang them around your neck; which is easier for women. mens money belts are easy targets. Dont even bother with those..

People in our group lost their phones and money during their first tawaf; because there are groups working together in tawaf, including ladies who tend to attack together, so be careful!

So where were we; we finished tawaf relatively quickly, and prayed two rakat namaz tawaf e ziyrah behind maqam ibrahim.

After a water break we made our way to safa marwa, and made niyyah and started our saee, from safa. Alot of rush here too, its sometimes quicker to walk through the wheelchair access, but beware the crazy wheelchair runners, they like to run into you!

Apart from that, i managed to finish saee just in time for zuhr. Both saee and tawaf stops for salah, so you have to make sure you complete your tawaf before the prayer times, else you will be cleared out mid tawaf. In saee it doesnt matter as much as you can complete it after salah.

Final part of umrah is taqseer, cutting abit of the hair or nails. I did my niyyah; and cut my nails. That was umrah completed and i was no longer a muhrim. Altogether it took about 2 hours; and i was alone for most of it, but it felt good ah. I had completed the first part!!

I made my way back to the hotel, everyone was congratulating everyone else!! This was a small part; bit it had trained us physically and focused us mentally, for the big part that was yet to come!!

Mashallah mabrook.

Re: Please Congratulate “Ma Mooli” for completing Hajj

Peace Ma Mooli,

:jazak: for ur post. I also entered from Bab-e-Abulaziz when I went for ‘Umrah’. I do remembers those badawis who r master in their profession. My cousin was wearing burka and inside burka she had kept her purse but shocking that wasn’t stolen but somehow ‘female’ theft was managed to stole some money. Not even that they also stole our sandals too :cb:

After that we kept all belonging in hotel in safety box. In ‘Saee’ those pplz with wheelchairs are private wheelchair taxi mens and they charge 50 to 100 Riyals and they are always in hurry b’coz they wants to have more and more customer to make money.

Plz tell have u got chance to touch Hijr-e-Aswad and Muqam-e-Multazim?

Please Congratulate "Ma Mooli" for completing Hajj

I made two attempts after tawaf to get near hajr aswad but i was unable to do so. But i managed to touch the walls, the door and rukn yamani.. So im happy. I have touched hajr e aswad on a a previous umrah visit but not this time!!

Re: Please Congratulate "Ma Mooli" for completing Hajj
