- Imran Khan - beautiful slightly diagonal run-up to the wicket followed by the famous leap
- Viv Richards - a genius, quite simply the best batsman to grace cricket over the past 30 years or so. When in full flow the most frightening sight for any bowler.
- Gilchrist - has the decency to walk himself when he knows he's out without waiting for the umpire's decision, clean hitting i.e. has the ability to slog intelligently
- Waqar - toe-crushing inswinging yorkers
- Wasim - flair and variety, could really make the ball talk
- Younis Khan - batting stance, always has a smile on his face
- Tendulkar of the 90s
- Lara - makes batting look so simple and effortless
