this plane is the modified version of B-747 and it’s numbered 800 in it’s series. it’s called B-747-800

**my most favourite HEAVIEST cargo plane is the Russian Antonov-225…it’s an amazing plane with big muscles…****it lifted and flew ****two electric locomotives **from the US to India once.

**there is some hope though. there is a consortium of specialty tour operators who are trying to revive the flight. remember, this big bird was NOT GROUNDED by Civil Aviation Authorities but due to the July 25th accident in France, the airlines voluntarily withdrew service. it got increasingly expensive to maintain those birds.
**i’m hoping against all odds that it may someday be back into service

after 9/11 they were not allowed to serve food in the silver cutlery. people became very annoyed at one point and eventually they brought them back in. but its pretty cool you could leave london at breakfast time and reack NY for breakfast.
another problem was that the speed barrier (sonic boom) could only be broken over the Atlantic ocean, thats why you never had any flights going to the other side of the world.

There are airplane kits that cost around that much. One piper kit I recently saw in a magazine was available for as little as $65000. Twin seat Pipers can be had for around $100,000. Its not so much the cost of the plane itself that is the issue. Its the overheads, i-e parking facilities, maintenance, fuel costs etc that take a chunk out of one’s pocket.

Well they inject diesel or vegetable oil into the exhaust of the aircraft.
Since the exhaust temperature is incredibly high, it heats up the oil and voila, we have smoke!
