Since I exist as a body only in one point at specific coordinates at any given time, you have an established location and may face me with certainty that you are indeed looking AT me.
Your God may be confined within a cube of stones in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Mine is everywhere.
Umm, EXCUSE ME, the argument was in rebuttal to your comment about the earth being round, as you had clearly stated that there was no need for a specific direction or the need for the shortest possible distance. Lets take it one argument at a time.
Regarding the 'Allah being everywhere', I am of the opinion that he is above the seven skies, and he sees and hears all, but isn't literally present everywhere. And not all prayers are supposed to be prayed in a specific direction, Salat is prescribed that way simply because it metamorphically says that we're facing Allah, and because it allows us all to follow a single rule.
suits really well atleast I can say that by reading your comments. Seems like you have no knowledge about your religion. I think you are missing the point not us.
Now in responce to your comments tell me why would you go to school, college or university to get your degree in what ever field you are interested? Well I guess to show others that you are not illiterate, you are compitent to work in that field, basically you are following the rules set by human…right?
Same applies here. Allah says I am every where ask me for help infect ask only me and I will listen your request, your needs, you name it as long as its legitimate. And their are rules set by Allah in order for us to fulfil our requirements we have to follow those rules and one of the rule is to show your respect towards Allah by not facing your feet towards Allah’s house. Othewise Allah could have set rule that you can pray facing towards anything you like. I hope you get my point if not then I guess you do not want to agree.
We pray TO Allah by FACING TOWARDS Kaba which has been directed by Allah SWT to do so.

I'm sure you'll edumacate me on when and where Allah told YOU not to point your feet while sleeping in a certain direction.
The following point is not to proof if Allah has said not to face your feet towards Kaba but its to show how you think.
As Allah directed the Prophet (I don’t remember the Prophet name but its a very famous story I am sure you may have heard it too) to tell the jews they should do “Qurbani”. The jews asked the Prophet go ask your Allah what kind of animal they should use. The Prophet went and ask Allah, comes back with the answer. The jews then asked the Prophet ask your Allah if the animal should be in black color or white? The Prophet goes back to Allah and comes back with the answer and they kept doing this till the Prophet quit asking them to do the “Qurbani”
The point I am trying make out of that story is that you are acting same like those jews. You simply do not want to agree.

refer to your own ans. above

Its not a sin. It is something made up by us. I have been to the Haram for hajj this year and I saw so many ppl with their feet towards the Kaaba. Same goes turning your back towards Kaaba. There is no Hadith in this reference and obviously Quran has nothing on it either.

I know and I have read my comments but seems like you are not understanding it. You are confusing yourself and others by mixing Allah SWT and the Kaba plus the issue here is Kabba not Allah. Get it?

I have another question. It's said that not to speak while you are in a nacked position, e.g. changing cloths, taking a shower ect.. The reason behind I have heard it because the two angels on our shoulders write everything down we communicate for the judgement day, now if we are nacked they would feel ashamed!
How true is THIS theory?
Do the angels come only if we speak or are they there all the time?

SaadiaB,
I dont remember the hadith off hand, however, what you have mentioned above is reality and not just a theory. It is recommended not to raise one's voice while one is naked e.g. in a washroom.
Yeah, Allah sure is everywhere, but Allah also direct Hazrat Muhammad (saw) and all Muslims to face towards Kaaba while praying. Its mentioned quite clearly in the first chapter.
2:144 We see the turning of thy face (for guidance to the heavens: now Shall We turn thee to a Qibla that shall please thee. Turn then Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque: Wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction. The people of the Book know well that that is the truth from their Lord. Nor is Allah unmindful of what they do.
Al-Baqara (The Cow) (Arabic) - Recite
2:149 From whencesoever Thou startest forth, turn Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque; that is indeed the truth from the Lord. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.
Al-Baqara (The Cow) (Arabic) - Recite
2:150 So from whencesoever Thou startest forth, turn Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque; and wheresoever ye are, Turn your face thither: that there be no ground of dispute against you among the people, except those of them that are bent on wickedness; so fear them not, but fear Me; and that I may complete My favours on you, and ye May (consent to) be guided;
