Clearly Faial Iqbal has booked himself a seat for the worldcup!
Well played indeed by him.
I will repeat my earlier instance that he should open alongwith Elahi or Saeed as Taufiq is a very good bat but doesnt have too many shots for onedayers!!

Well played Faisal :k:

4-0 , cooooooollllllllllllll

wow… good job Faisal :k:
^ Taufeeq should start… but only for tests… hehe

Well played… good bowling by Sami and Zahid…
Youhana didnt bat… he might have been able to score 500 runs in this series… but oh well

Kamran Akmal did good too… he should be the openner the next game too…

:k:
Game 5 is tonight right?

koool:k:

Good Cricket From Pak. :k:

yeah...

Two thumbs up for pakistan. :)

Stop this!

We beat Zimbo, not a big deal. Faisal Iqbal scored a ton, well done, but its not a big deal. His ton against Zimbo is not a mark of a class player, Saqlian has runs against them too, nbot a great bat.

Get it?

Yasir was right , people like you will nveer be satisified. Yeah for you this hundred wasnt mark of a class player but surely his inning against aussies in test was indeed a mark of a class player. Still dont get it?? Go and ask shane warne!

It doesn't matter which team the inning was against, they played well and they should be given credit to that. If Zimbabwe is good enough to qualify as a test playing nationa than they must be a good team.
Remember they were the 5th best team in the previous WC, better than Srilanka, India, England, Westindies etc.
You can never count them out.

So stop you whining Moe_Best and give credit where its due!

Well said Umair! and Saby, I told you, Mo_best would never be satisfied, even if Pakistan win the world cup, he would still be whining that its not a big deal, etc…:rotfl:

As for the match, well played by Pakistan, no doubt. Before we didn’t have any openers, and now we have 4, counitng Saaed out, although I want him to open:( I think Faisal Iqbal should open with Kamran Akmal. They will be agood opening pair. I would have picked Saleem Elahi instead of Kamran, but knowing Elahi’s previous record, Im not to sure, so lets go with Faisal and Elahi for the SA tour, and if Elahi does well there too, then Kamran should be sent down the order. Taufeeq Umer is a test player, and he should open in tests, although he is a good solid player, but if you are chasing a big total, I think he won’t be able to play fast, but Kamran, Elahi, and Faisal can all smash the ball around:D

Its Pakistanis like you which keep us back, you celebrate worthless victories, they believe the press of you ppl and then take the foot of the pedal. If Faisal scores it against SA, I'll happily apologise, but let him do something.

Mark Ramprakash scored 150~ against Austrlia a few series ago, does that make him a class act?

Its consistancy which highlights class, not 1 or 2 knocks.

Well played Pakistan. :k:

Mo Zimbabwe might not be the best team around but lets look at a few things:

Zimbabwe are a respectable ODI team, even though not in the same league as Australia and SA.

Pakistan’s has made good progress since the Kenyan tournament where the team at one stage was in danger of losing to Kenya which is a much inferior team then Zimbabwe.

All this is a good build up to the SA tour which will be the real test of the team.

Zimbabwe has beaten all teams in ODI except maybe Australia and SA. I am not sure. If that is true then they are not that bad a team.

Looking at the positives I would say Kamran, Youhanna, Faisal.

Bowlers will need to bowl much better against SA otherwise life will become very difficult for them.

Well played Pakistan and lets go and make a 5 nil sweep tomorrow. Inshallah.

**Iqbal steers Pakistan to comprehensive victory **

HARARE (Reuters) - Faisal Iqbal struck a century to steer Pakistan to a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Zimbabwe in the fourth one-day international on Saturday.

The opener scored 100 off 97 balls, including 10 fours and three sixes, as Pakistan cruised to 211 for two in reply to Zimbabwe’s 210 to win with 14.3 overs to spare.

Pakistan lead the five-match series 4-0.

Kamran Akmal and Iqbal added 53 runs for the first wicket before the former was caught by wicketkeeper Tatenda Taibu off the bowling of medium pacer Douglas Hondo for 44 in the eighth over.

Iqbal and Younis Kahn then added 156 for the second wicket in a bustling stand that took Pakistan to within two runs of victory.

It ended when Younis was run out for 56 by Brian Murphy in the covers as the batsmen attempted a tight single that would have brought Iqbal his century.

The Zimbabweans did themselves no favours by dropping six catches, including two offered by Iqbal on 35 and 37.

Earlier, Grant Flower rescued a Zimbabwean innings that was teetering at 41 for six with an undefeated 105 off 146 balls including 11 fours.

The home side lost their first wicket in the third over when Mark Vermeulen was trapped in front for nine by fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar.

Twelve balls later the score was 12 for four, with Alistair Campbell and Andy Flower dismissed without scoring by consecutive deliveries from fast bowler Mohammad Sami.

Campbell was caught in the gully by Misbah-ul-Haq, while Flower fell to a catch by Inzamam-ul-Haq. Dion Ebrahim chopped a ball from Shoaib on to his stumps to be bowled for two.

Grant Flower and Sean Ervine stopped the rot until the 11th over, when Ervine, on five, edged a ball from fast bowler Mohammad Zahid to Younis at second slip.

Zimbabwe slipped to 41 for six when wicketkeeper Akmal took a fine one-handed head high catch to dismiss Taibu for a duck and earn Sami his third wicket.

Grant Flower and Travis Friend steadied Zimbabwe’s ship with a seventh-wicket stand of 82 that was ended in the 29th over when Friend missed a straight delivery from leg-spinner Shahid Afridi and was bowled through the gate for 48, the only other double figure score in the innings.

Hondo helped Flower add 46 for the last wicket, while Sami was the pick of the bowlers with figures of four for 41.

Pakistani's like us keep us back?? Its pakistani's like you who keep us back. Pakistan went through a very rough patch of Cricket. And Zimbabve is no easy team to beat, as we all know by now, they are a good fighting team. What will satisfy people like you is that after a really bad patch of Cricket, Pakistan all of a sudden wins the World Cup! Well every team who goes through a bad phase of Cricket, needs time to rebuild its confidence. Now if Pakistan is playing well against Zimbabve, it can be a confidence builder for them to play better. We are not saying Faisal, Elahi, or Kamran are superstars, but you have to give credits where they are due. Scoring a centuary even against Bangladesh isn't an easy task. Pakistan could have easily lost a couple of macthes due to over confidence, that this is Zimbabve and we will beat them no problem. So what I am trying to say Moe_Best, is that you have to learn to appriciate the good things. If Pakistan plays bad, we say they played bad, if they lose to Bangladesh, of course we will all criticize them...and if they play well against Zimbabve, its wrong to say they played well?

yesterday you asked me to ignore people like him!!
Today i do the same to you :hehe:
A true fan will be happy with the progress after such a torried time off-late but Mo_BEst likes to criticize just for the sake of criticism !

well said yasir bhai! completely agreed with u! v shud appreciate those young guys! and mo_best. u shud appreciate our young players! first they will play against zimbabwe.. then only they can b chosen for SA or any other team
