I used to put my daughter in baby blue a lot!!!
Not because I had dreams that I was having a baby boy and went and bought blue stuff but because she looked good in it.
I have one photo of her in blue and when she used to look at it years ago she would say, “That’s me when I was a boy.”
Please dont. If you have a boy, dress him as a boy and vice versa. A few years back, someone local had a baby. Some would say she had a boy and others would claim its a girl. The misconception that she had a girl stemmed from the fact that her baby boy always wore pink and was always wrapped up in a pink blanket.
Don’t put him in baby pink if it is a boy, especially if you’re going to take pictures of him. I put a baby pink cap on mine once and took a picture of him. When he was about 5 year old, he was so upset about the picture I had to hide it away. Never again. lol
If its any theme color I am looking for after pink, then thats Light (baby) Green. Specially I liked the idea of RV, that most of the newborn stuff can be used for the next baby too… whether it will be a boy or a girl
I’m a girl and I hate pink, so I certainly wouldn’t make my child wear pink just because she was a girl and my son blue because he’s a boy. I don’t see what the big deal is, some genius decided generations ago that pink was for girls and blue was for boys and then the retail industry used that as a marketing technique to divide the world into blues and pinks for their own benefit. There’s absolutely no logic behind the allocation of these colours to the two genders nor any scientific backing to one gender preferring a certain colour biologically. So the only reason I can see for people going through with this is that they want to do what everyone else is doing.
And so what if you have to explain to people that you have a daughter or son, babies all look the same anways at a certain age. If it was me I would dress my child in whatever colour I liked regardless of the gender association with it.
If u really really really want to then get one pink outfit for baby and thats it. Buy dony get more than one. So if it s a boy and u dont want put pink outfit on him u can gift it or keep it for future.
Also u u staying away from yellows n greens? They r neutral colours too no?
Iv bought everything in neutral colors except for the bringing home rompers , blankets and baby nests.. iv bought them in both pink and blue oh and also towels… the first day clothes, booties mittens and caps too in pink and blue both baby girl stuff is just sooo irresistible bt to be on the safe side.. just buy a couple of pinks and blues and the rest In neutral
nahiiiiiiii by “no yellows greens” means, I am not finding the yellows and greens … They ARE of course neutral colors and if not pink then I would buy yellows orange and greens…but most of the unisex I see around are really decent and off-white colors. C`mon, baby looks cute in colors… do I make sense now
Yar, truly speaking, when I was talking about Pink, it was about Theme, theme for his fleece, blankets, bedding sets, drapes, sleeping bag and all that stuff… I wanted to go for one specific theme but since RV has told me that whether I know the gender, I should go for a unisex theme because it will be good for my next whatsoever baby so I will be sticking to this suggestion from now on…
Pink does look nice on babies but you can always do white or red. They make babies look really cute too. Especially white [you know white furry clothing in winters - they look like soft snowballs but that’s a whole new story].
