I once asked the airhostess on a flight from JFK to KHI via Frankfort, “Do you carry small travel size toothpaste on long flights?” I had forgotten to bring along mine. Her reply, " Nahee, laikin ilaayechi lay aaooN?".
Needless to say, I stopped taking ilayechi since then.
I hope the new clothes rub off something good on to the air hostesses.

sigh...apparently u guys havent flown int. with pia long enough. my only complaint for pia comes in the booking section. wen returning from pak to toronto, u always gotta go to the booking office and bribe a agent to give ur seat back.

Not that I know of, I think they are in the design phase. I will look out for it if I can though:)
Well there are few issues travelling to & from PK. I have realized that most of Airhostess are rude - but not all. Some of them are "Sifarshee" true but still they are trained.
As to keep up the muslim culture thingee they are trained not to open up much while talking secondly they do have attitude problem. The standard of English of in-flight staff is poor but on the other hand PIA technical & pilots have really cool English skills.
Overall its not a bad airline - I dont mind travelling with PIA but the drawbacks are - if u board the plane in PK the immigration thinks that u are the only one with doggy papers becuase they are told by the Government to check thoroughly otherwise PIA has to pay fine. With other airlines they dont care much. On the other hand when u land in Europe or USA/Canada you are welcomed by immigration on the door of the aircraft & a custom guy with a dog standing. Also Intelligence agency guys keeping photocopies of suspects to see if u are the one landing :)
I usually hate when I have to pay for the service & then dont get freedom & comfort. I prefer to pay an extra pound to buy that. So I usually travel by Middle Eastern Airlines if I am going to PK.
Some guy here said the domestic travelling wasnt good enough. I am a usual flyer from Islamabad to Karachi throughout and I have found them to be excellent when it comes to this particular route. As for some guy who said we need hot 20 year olds, I should remind him to thank Mr. Zia-ul-Haq the next time he goes to Faisal Mosque, for he was the one who made this age rule, whether its still there or not means nothing, as those old women will never retire unless they actually hit 80 or something. Bhutto made the airlines very attractive, and the most senior air hostess of PIA in her interview said how he personally looked into the marketing of PIA and suggested improvements.

Why don they bring back the younger stewardesses? It makes no sense... Its called customer satisfaction:)
Pia is not a bad of an airline.. and the type of fussy ppl desis are.. only PiA can deal with them... other airlines dont even give out food.. an u kno .. PIA has damn good take-off an landing.. and MOST of us and our parents took PIA when we left pakistan.. so i say those who think PIA sucks.. should reconsider

The old ones dont wanna leave... Aunties ne position sambhaal hi li hain.
As much as U can sympathize with Aunties, they really need to start retiring, or being retired.
i have never seen any Aunties during traveling through PIA, in fact, I came across some nice young ladies. Wouldn’t call it a superb service, just average. The picture inside the plane is kind of boring; i hope the new uniform makes a better impression.
