peti coat lenhga!!!!!

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

Well then go with what she feel comfortable with, as the is the one that will ultimately have to wear the dress.

Edit: Well it may be ok for me to read, but what if I had dyslexia or some learning difficulties or English was my second language.

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

Reading this just gave me a headache. No offense but I hope ur under 16 b/c if not and ur still writing like this then that's just disturbing...

And this type of lehenga only looks good in magazines...it's not practical to wear something like this on the wedding day cuz it'll look ridiculous when she sits down.

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

so then, now that is over, can you please help me, n thanks to all those who have already helped. Also do any of you have designs similar to this one, i mean a lehnga that is fully embroided, because she wants a lehnga that has very heavy embroidry on it, so please do post some piks.........

Thank heavens for that! ;)

I'm sure you will get some good help on these pages.

hey thx for that, am sorry for my previous post, i think i over reacted, anyways, do you have any good designs of fully embroided lenhga????

I know of someone who recently got married and wore a petticoat under her lengha- similar to this one:

bridalslips.co.uk/_new/bridalslips/bridalstyle201.htm

Hers was from the bridal section in either frasers or debenhams. She actually took her lengha in and tried differnt types.

She was super skinny - a uk size 4 and her lengha was heavily embroided - so it just kinda "dropped" on her when she wore it. She had originally tried the hoop type skirt but it looked too weird!! So she opted for the netted one to puff out her skirt a bit. Looked nice.

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

Hi...to answer your question..my wedding lengha was like this too and so was my sisters...i think its quite common in UK now and personally I think it helps in showing the kaam on your lengha better and it doesnt make much of a difference, no1 can even realise you have that under the lengha..its all sewn in so part of the lengha....so i tink its fine..go 4 it..and lengha is beautiful mashallah

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

Hmmmm...Im not sure how it would look when seated? Instead of using a hoop...what about some sort of fabric? Maybe she can have poofy fabric sewn inside the lehnga to give it more volume...taffeta or tissue or something else...someone suggested this for me too but Im not into the poofy look. Your best bet is to talk to a designer personally and see what they can do to acheive that look.

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

i'm frm bradford aswell and evn i had problems reading. loool. no offence!!

gud luck wit da weddin'.

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

jeez man i cn read her writing perfectly clear! chill out ppl and learn sum slang!!

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

^ what shay said.

i think she needs to practice wearing that lehenga with the petticoat under it to see how comfortable she is. i can see it getting really hot with the double layer of fabric.

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

^^^^heyy thx for that, finally someone can read it, aniways......dat is a very good idea i think she should practice wearing the lenga but the thing is she hasnt orders it yet and if she does, and wen she gets it if its is not rite and she doesnt feel comfatable.....den wat is she gona do, thats y i need your lot help.....

Re: peti coat lenhga!!!!!

Ask the designer. As they will be making the clothes they'll probably have the best idea.
