Lately I have been getting emails from distant friends and relatives asking me to join some club, SMS list, some program or an online friends community. They too never take the time to send a one-liner asking how I am doing.

I got an email from a once very close friend about joining some movie theatre free listing and I replied to him asking for his phone number. He hasn’t replied yet but I have gotten a couple of more emails asking me to join his SMS list.

Be careful, most of these invitations are scams. I also got similar emails from people I hadn’t heard from in years.
