KARACHI : Sindh Minister of Information and Local Bodies, Sharjeel Memon, on Saturday said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Sindh government were victimized by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led federal government and demanded of them to end it immediately.
Addressing a press conference, Memon criticized the federal government for what he called not giving due share of funds to Sindh government under the NFC award …
Sindh pays the lions share of taxes but the provincial government was neglected and victimized in the Council of Common Interest (CCI) meeting, he said adding that several projects of the province include S-3, K-IV, Thar Coal and Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) were being delayed after federal government did not release promised funds for them.
Re: Pervez Khattak: Ease outages or KP will stop supply to Punjab
Kh. Asif has taken a notice. Again, this proves that the so called elected Federation only understand the language of pressure and threat. This issue was circulating for quite a while, it was always in news, but as we all know that the *darbaris *of the royal court were too busy infighting to pay attention to any other national issues.
Good for KPK for standing for its right. If Punjab can suspend wheat supply to KPK and expect no one to bait an eyelid, KPK can also suspend electricity to Punjab if the promised electricity supply and due funds are not provided.
Re: Pervez Khattak: Ease outages or KP will stop supply to Punjab
I have always thought PTI was party of agitators & now it seems like they are turning into a destructive force for the country. Federal govt should seriously consider this as a threat and consider sending them packing.
I think basically it is a good decision by KP if they will stop supply to Punjab, because Punjab is not Pakistan, it should believe in live and let live for other provinces too. If IK take this bold decision, he will be emerged as greatest politician, will gain lots of sympathies not only in KP, but Sindh and Baluchistan too. Example created by him will be followed by other provinces too to get their rights too.
Re: Pervez Khattak: Ease outages or KP will stop supply to Punjab
^^^ IK's dream is to become the PM & I don't see how he will become the PM by alienating 56% of country's population. As for agitation and street politics, we should learn from 1990s. That is not productive & I don't think PPP/Zardari wants to be part of that type of politics, but they are being forced into street agitation b/c everyone else is doing it. This will not augur well for Pakistan & democracy in the country. If some how the tanga parties managed to bring down the govt what will prevent the PMLN from brining down next govt? These types of politics are destructive for the country & it will ensure continues instability until next generals take over...like we have seen may times before.
Btw, remember what IK is saying about NS today is what he was saying about Zardari last year. He is a unstable character & hardy a democrat (he would have become Mushy's PM if he was asked).
