Prophet and his companions sought refuge in the high grounds of Uhad after battle to escape from total annilation from Quraishi army
Prophet did not ask the survivors of Mootah ...why didnt you all fight to the death, but accepted that it was important to extract the remainder of the army from the fight , so they live to fight another day.
