Saadia, you can buy it from Lookfantastic.com, I do think they ship worldwide. It will come with a UK plug, but there are two screws in it, so when you undo them, you will have a normal European plug under and it all works fine.

Me and my friend have bought from Lookfantastic in 2007 and 2011, and both times it has worked fine, otherwise as you said, its possible to buy an attachment.

I ordered from lookfantastic.com as they had the best rate and were delivering for free, where as amazon.co.uk doesnt even deliver this item to us in europe.

So afterwards I read some real bad reviews about lookfantastic.com and am now nervous, one even wrote they sent a fake ghd. I checked on the ghd website and they seem to be authorized to sell these, so lets see.

There will be a guide with the GHD iron about how you can get it verified by GHD's website (or so there was when I bought mine), so you will know its real or not.

I ordered my GHD's from Lookfantastic around two years ago and it's a perfectly reliable website so don't worry! I also verified it on the GHD website and everything was fine.

so you are right, this procedure needs to be redone every 4-5 months, for that I cannot also give out like 1000 euro every year and I dont know if this salon has formaldehyde free treatment. The lady was speaking very weak german so it was not light to get info out of her or to understand her fully.

here is a pic of my hair. I didnt get time to do anything other than blow dry them, so thats how messy they look.

I am afraid that with the iron, it will take a lot of time and for that I dont know if I have this time. How many times in a week do u iron them.

I’ve used it thrice and each time the results were amazing…the hair stay perfect for 6 months.

I would suggest you to go in for rebonding or permanent straightening instead of using irons everytime. The damage (if any) by using chemicals will be just once rather than subjecting your hair to damage everytime you iron.

I got my hair straightened here in India about 2 years ago. I had a little more than shoulder length and now my hair is waist length…but the straightened hair is still perfect straight. I had used Loreal products. I always had straight hair (a little wavy towards the edges) but I loved the straightening effect and the sheen that it brought in. And you do get ammonia-free products…

My hair was like this before straightening:

And it was like this after 2 months of straightening. I was happy that the length increased too

And you can always get the roots touched every 3-4 months. If you use a nice conditioner for treated hair, you can maintain the straightness for almost a year.
