As in the words of a Muslim Sufi - 'no understanding of the Holy Book is possible until it is actually revealed to the believer just as it was revealed to the Prophet.

I believe it was Iqbal’s couplet

TeraY zameer par jub tukk naa ho nuzooL-e-kitaab
giraah kushaa hai, naa Raazi*, Naa sahib-e-kashaaf!

*Raazi = Imam Raazi :rehm: who wrote the Tafseer-e-Raazi based on 30 volumes.
