Speaking for myself, I finished all my studying at 23...so I think engagement at 24 (wedding at 25) would have been perfect.
In terms of personal development/maturity level, I would've done fine.
As for ability to handle the whole family's responsibility, don't think I'm ready yet or ever will be until I'm put into those shoes.
I also think that early-20's is the age, where single/engaged girls really look forward to planning their perfect wedding and the idea of a Prince Charming and happy endings. But the longer you stay in the rishta-hunting process, the bitter you become and reality starts to set in. So yeah, I think 25-27 would be the ideal range in my humble opinion.

There is no best age to get married. It depends on when a person wants to get married and when they find the right person. A person can only make plans but whether or not things go accordingly is not in our hands.
