Re: Patriotism or over patriotism?: Pakistani celebrities react to Phantom
Faisal Qureshis video is an embarrassment not to the Indians but actually to Pakistanis. He could have just put that Modi part in and that would have been quite sufficient and not dragged Kargil and cricket into the mix which are both very contentious and rather embarrassing issues. And the less said about Shaan the better. If Mawra has hurt the country's image or whatever, what about his own embarrassing gujjar, jatt type movies wihch would give any foreign viewer a less than favourable image of the industry and by extension the country.
Kabir Khan had shown the Pakistanis in too favourable a light in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and had to make amends with a bigoted crapfest like Phantom to appease the fundos of which there are a plenty on both sides of the border. After all its the same race some of whom moved from this side of the border to that and vice versa and not much has changed despite what the proponents of 'Shining India' would have us believe. It would be great if we understood how we have common enemies in Western imperialist powers, unspeakable poverty, gora complex and numerous regressive traditions and cultural prathatices rather than mindless war mongering which ensures that we remain in the dark ages, the claims of politicians and media notiwthstanding.

^^^ Its not just a movie or any other movie, it very much reflects the Indian impression of Pakistan. They are having a wet dream of playing USA vs Iraq/Afghanistan with Pakistan which they cannot achieve in real lifetime so they tried to satisfy their wishful thinking by fantasizing their wish in a third rate movie.

I don’t know…what happened above…but Katrina …cant kill anyone…perhaps shoot herself with that gun..
And the person who decides to watch phantom…is suicidal and India takes no responsibility for their lives…
Katrina kaif movies are released in India for death rate enhancement and birth control..people who have the provilage to not watch ..shouldn’t watch…

Re: Patriotism or over patriotism?: Pakistani celebrities react to Phantom
Mawra was dumb for tweeting about it. I do agree that the outpouring of hate was uncalled for. Reactions need to be controlled.. but she is still dumb. Love Shan/Hamza Ali/FQx2 for always sticking up for Pakistan...we need patriotism like that to succeed.
Also, I hate that our actors and actresses go to Bollywood and do absolute **** roles/movies and think it's a huge deal. Ali Zafar was my favorite-est person ever... all his movies in India were a joke though, not that he's ever made a big deal about his work there. If you're planning on going to Bollywood, do it with some self-respect... for a role worthy of it. Mahira Khan is doing a movie with SRK... that's fkn amazing, makes sense! Fawad Khan did a great movie under the Disney banner with Sonam Kapoor... and it wasn't something out of his usual roles. I felt like he was the same guy. Those decisions make sense and I feel like they shine a light on Pakistan's real talent. Mawra's doing a movie there now and it looks like the same thing Humaima Malick/Veena Malik/Meera did - wear itty-bitty kaprey and dance in the rain with a third-rate hero no one's ever heard of. There's so much work in Pakistan... help build here, instead of going for crappy options in India... this is where your fan-base is. Anyhow... never liked her much lol
