I would like the women's group to take up the issue of terrorism against Muslims in America. We need a strong group like them to lead us out of the fog we are in and give us leadership.
Going back to the original concern in the beginning of the post; the accusations vs. answers about any religion are always there & it’s natural outcome when people openly ‘believing’ different views are living together. What people of all faiths should consider is that the correct information about their faith should be available if someone seek all information related to the issue. And stereotypes based on categories, be it racial, gender, national or religious should be discouraged.
Janu bhai, if you would like to help, you should join the group of “Muslims Writers”. You can look at the bios of the current vigilant members (all average Americans) of this group who have taken it upon themselves to answer questions regarding Islam & try to remove any misunderstandings that articles, speeches or media programs might create. Their goal is to gather all the information that is circulated in the print media or otherwise and try to encourage those who give a non-bias view of Islam & answer those who tend to have misconceptions. The group was created before September 11th but naturally their work load has increased exponentially this past year.
Pat Robertson is a fundamentalist. He is also a hate-monger. One is not necessarily dependent on the other, although the propensity for hate mongering is higher in fundamentalists than in non-fundamentalists. It's the nature of the self-righteousness that comes with the label.
But just because Pat Robertson is hateful does not mean that his followers are a "hate group". Likewise, just because Muslims tend to overall be more "fundamentalist" they are not necessarily hate groups.
Thanks for the link. I will look into it. But the problem is that I don’t have any indepth knowledge as many around here. I am trying to get ques for engaging local talk show hosts when they have their almost daily target practice on me and my faith. The site caters to people as they come. The hosts target hundereds of thousands to millions upon millions by the second, every day. Those are the people we need to try to engage. The site might give rich archive to dig in and provice layman’s version of the explanations of general Islamic issues and questions. I’ll check it out.

Yes, but should hate mongers like him be getting funds from the federal government? Why do so many millions of American's follow people like Robertson and the other fundementlist hate-filled leaders like him, if they don't subsrcibe to their idea's? Where would these people be if they did not get support from so many people?
